Sony CMT Z1 26 Dec 2005
Firstly I would like to point out that this machine does NOT have a USB port as was quoted to me by a Sony UK representative. I wanted to digitally hook up my NW HD1 to play tracks but the only way you can do this is the analogue way.

Apart from that the machine is actually great. Sound wise the CD and tape functions produce a nice crisp sound with plenty of welly from the DSGX function. The tuner is basic but performs well with RDS. I live in an area where reception is poor but it picked up a good number of stations.

Overall if you want this for a small room its fantastic, but as for hooking up other components its a little disappointing.

This is my first review, so please bear with me

I had a generous amount to spend on a system of my liking (upto 600 pounds) but I ended buying this system for 150 pounds......No I have not lost the plot even thought I could have bought a Denon, Teac etc. Here are my reasons:

- A beautiful looking system, you can't deny it.
- A superb innovatively designed S-master amplifier from Sony.
- Superb sound from a micro system.
- MD link availabe

SO it has no dvd capability or DAB...SO WHAT. i AM A STUDENT WHO MOSTLY LISTENS TO URBAN MUSIC WITHT BASE POUNDING OUT OF MY SPEAKERS, so these were perfect.

Flawless, I dunno but Ill report if anything goes wrong.
Flawless, was the service I got from amazon

Suprising Sony! 15 Nov 2005
By A Customer
The best sound I have ever heard from a micro-system, this little gem deserves to be treated as serious hifi. Sound quality is excellent on tuner and tape as well as CD. At Amazon's price this is a genuine bargain; you'd have to spend a great deal more to match the detail and stereo imaging of which this system is capable.
