Sony packs in additional features like 24-step programming, timed fader, 3 play modes, and much more.This CD player also playbacks CD-R/RW discs. Music Scan feature helps to locate a particular spot within a track. Music Calendar indicates tracks programmed, played, and remaining. Jog Dial is a convenient control that rotates through tracks or through discs. Hybrid Pulse D/A converter places the converter and the digital filter on the same integrated circuit, reducing signal leads and minimizing interference and distortion, resulting in better sound. Very pleased with this easy to use CD player.
Being a deejay for the local tea dance, I want something quick and easy to program so that I can then join in the dancing.
Couldn't ask for anything better,but then it is Sony.Great looking and a doddle to use.Buy with confidence.

This is a good budget CD player. The sound quality is excellent. When I was looking for a good CD player under £100, I bought two other machines and ended up taking both of them back to the shop before buying and sticking with this one.
It plays every disc I put in it (it's surprising how some budget CD players I tried struggled with CD-Rs and CD-RWs), it gets to each track simply, the jog wheel is neat and put simply it WORKS.
On the downside sadly there's no remote (not even available separately) and no optical or co-ax outputs, but at this price that would have been too much to ask. Also, the LCD-style display looks a bit dated. But these are small niggles and generally I've been happy with this machine.

Excellent value for money basic CD player, last one we had which was very similar lasted 15 years and cost a few quid more than the one we got recently! when we purchased this one we payed about £70 for it so it was even better value than currently, if you want a cd player as a seperate to go with your amp etc and don't want to fork out loads of cash then this is the one to go for.
No remote or fancy gadgets but then if you want decent playing quality then you certainly get that with the right speakers :-))
