At first this title does not seem to have much going for it. There are only nine characters to play with and even though the idea of the game sounds fun an avid gamer would still go for a fighting game which offers some long term playability. But to be perfectly honest Bloody Roar 2 does not prove to be much of a match against the likes of the tekken series or street fighter alpha 3 and if you don't already own the aforementioned titles don't buy this one. But don't let the competion mislead you, because Bloody Roar is Bloody good fun. The idea of the game is that human fighters can 'morph' into beasts during any fight and believe me, even though strategy helps there is nothing like button bashing your way through to a victory against a tekken player just because you managed to morph before they did. This game may not be for those who believe that strategy and practice is everything and there is fair chance that the right man will not always win but for pre-pub playing this game is right up there with the likes of driver. Not a work of genious but great fun.
