I bought this player on the based on a couple of personal recommendations, to accompany a new Samsung LED TV. I have not been disappointed, it is an excellent machine. And just as the seller promised it came out-of-the-box as region free for DVDs (important to me, as I have a lot of Region-1 DVDs). I have several DVDs in my collection which were difficult or downright impossible to play on my two older DVD players - this player handles them with ease.

The image quality is superb too,the upscaling for DVDs works well - and gone now is the blocky artifacting that I used to experience with my older players.

The slim height was important to me too as I wanted to fit it and my Humax PVR into the one slot that my old VHS player used to live in.

The switchgear on the player itself feels solid and dependable.

Note that if does not come supplied with an HDMI cable.
