No problems with this drive. I've burnt several error-free CDs and DVDs on different makes of media. I tend to play safe and don't burn at max speed though. I usually use 16x for CDs and 4x for DVDs.

The price is great and it's no slouch either. The AD 5260s is a great and versatile dvd rewriter that should be able to burn just about anything due to it's Super-Multi functionality.
The drive isn't supplied with sata cable or screws, so make sure to purchase some when you add this to your basket.
Generally the drive is quiet, making a little noise when first spinning up when it detects the presence of discs. The burning speed is miles faster than older drives I've owned, back in the days when 8x was fast. 24x is just blistering for me. DVDs burned in less than 6 minutes is great.
The only issues I have are that the drive doesn't fit that well in my dell vostro pc. The drive flaps are a little too far foward, (or the rewriter itself, a little too far back) This makes the button on the front difficult to press, but that's no issue with the drive. Secondly, the drive tray is flimsier than the dell dvd-rom supplied with my dell. 1 star down for these minor flaws. But 4 stars because they in no way impact on it's performance, and when you factor in cost to deliver for Amazon, the drive is a steal.

3 months and it dont recognises my dvds .dont b fooled by the name brand . It worked when i first got it but three months it dont recognise dual layers , dvd .
