Ok, so its more expensive than those cheap clones, but its not going to blow up, catch on fire or fry your mp3 player. (check some of the reviews for the clones!).
The Sony adaptor will charge your walkman mp3 players, phones, ipods etc; in fact anything USB that I've plugged into it gets charged.
Its just a shame that the UK version doesnt have the slide-on mains plug converter that I was expecting from the Sony site pictures.

Like other people, I previously purchased a similar non Sony charger that claimed to charge my NWZ-A818 but didnt, if fact it seems that none of the aftermarket chargers are capable of charging the Sony player.
This however does charge it, you just need to plug the USB cable that you got with the player into the bottom of the plug.
If you are thinking, should I buy this or save a few quid by buying an unbranded charger, my advice would be to buy this as I have not heard of any after market chargers actually working with the Sony player and you can get free postage with this one!

Relatively expensive for what it is, but also reliable as befits the Sony name, and will charge other mp3 players. I've used it to charge my Sony Walkman, iPod Shuffle, and Creative Zen Stone, all without a problem. It looks exactly like the photo: it's a simple plug with a slot at its top, into which you insert your mp3's USB cable. Very neat, very simple, and it works without any worries.

Have 2 of these already
I use this to charge my iphone 3G, my Sony NWZ Series mp4 Walkman and my Scandisk mp4 player. Highly compatible and have had no issues with it.
