In preparation for my transition from an old CRT TV to a 1080p LCD TV, I began researching into HDMI cables.
With the debate on ranging 'quality' HDMI cables being able to produce HD no better than cables like this item we see here, I felt confused and ultimately hesitant on buying cheap HDMI cables.
However, with the price of this cable being as low as it is and also carrying the brand of Sony, I thought, 'Why not?'. I have a Sony PS3, I'm about to purchase a Sony TV, why not top it off with a Sony Cable?
You don't know until you try.
I set up my brand new TV, plugged in the HDMI cable to my PS3 (previously set up for my old CRT) and the PS3 automatically detected the change in settings and offered to optimise to suit.
It works perfectly and the HD quality is amazing. I cannot fault the item as it does exactly what I had expected and there have been no problems or issues at all for the 2 months I have owned it.
One small thing, as with most products, the packaging is neatly sealed as to ensure the impossibility of opening it with ease. :p
As this has been my only HDMI cable I've owned, tried or seen in action for a PS3, I cannot compare it against 'quality' HDMI cables carrying price tags up to or even exceeding 5 times the price of this cable.
