You get printable discs to print on - so why doesn't the printable area go right to the spindle? In addition to leaving a hole right in the middle of your design or copied CD surface you will also be left with wet ink which will smudge all over the rest of the design if you are not very careful when sponging it off.
Copying is as good as you would expect for Sony - but they need to cover the whole CD surface with a printable surface to get full marks.

Great item. I use then a lot with my Epson inkjet printer that has a CD tray. Would be nice to have a printable area closer to the spindle as they do for the DVD.

I put these writeable blank CDs in a tray that fits in my Epson R340 Printer.
I then plug in a USB Flash Disk in the front of the printer.
Without the printer even being connected to a computer I can then print images on the CDs.
This is great for me as I make my own music, and I can add the "On-Body" artwork
giving a more professional look than the old stick-on labels could.
These work well, so far, no rejects at all.
