Sometimes you buy an album and it sounds awful but over time it grows on you, and you find yourself hooked, sometimes you don't and you never listen to it again (or give it to your little sister). Sometimes you buy an album and it blows your head off and makes you laugh like a gibbering idiot. This is one of THOSE albums.
If your idea of a good party is Monster Magnet playing as the backing band to Public Enemy whilst possessed by the ghost of Jim Morrison... it might be.... then BUY THIS & buy it now.
Actually, just buy it anyway. Horns, chant along choruses, bus sized riffs, a smattering of reggae and jazzy bass lines are used to give each song a life of its own, and, despite this eclecticism the album sounds awesome played front to back, back to front, mixed up, played backwards, whilst suspended from a tree....... music lovers.... BUY THIS ALBUM.
