Silver the Hedgehog, remembered only by his connection to 'Sonic the Hedgehog 2006'. The biggest problem with that was Silver was horribly naive and idealistic in that game. But this review isn't about that.

Like the games, Silver hails from Mobius Prime (Sonic's world) only 200 years in the future. His world was ravaged by a number of disasters, stemming from Dr Eggman's secret weapon (which I won't spoil) and the Ixis Resurgence (which we will never know because of the reboot to the franchise, but that's a different story) and now stands in ruin. Silver has been travelling to the past, trying to find a traitor in the Freedom Fighters that will kickstart the road to Mobius' future, and has so far been unsuccessful, with Sonic Universe 7 being an important bit of character development for him.

Back to the book itself, the story follows Silver as he journeys to Dark Mobius, an alternate dimension that is ruled by Enerjak. Enerjak, having grown board of no fun opponents, has been sending his minions across dimensions to find new ones. One of the these minions finds his way to Silver's world, prompting Silver to chase it back home. There, he meets the only resistance left, led by the daughter of Knuckles, Jani-Ca (not to be confused with Lara-Su from the Mobius: XX Years Later story) and helps them in one last stand against Enerjak. The story is nice spin on the 'with great power comes great responsibility' stuff from the typical superhero comics from Marvel, and, like a Marvel comic, it does feel like Archie Sonic's version of a superhero comic.

The main high points of the comic is that Silver is LIKEABLE in this. Yes, he's naive and bit bratty due to his young age, but doesn't whine once and is actually pretty funny throughout the story.

When I saw this book I knew had to add it to my collection as I already have both Sonic and Shadow comics and it was very interesting to see the back story surrounding Silver since his frist appeared in Sonic 06. I highly recommend this to anyone who is both a Sonic 'Shadow and a Silver the hedgehog fan.

Got this through as a gift for someone for Christmas and found that the corner of the comic was bent! As a collectors item I'm really hoping they don't mind ! On the other hand the comic its self is very well made and definately a great asset to the collection!

Silver written well. 30 Sep 2014

If you ever wanted to see Silver written well, check this comic out! The art for the most part is great, the action is amazing, and it's self-contained enough to be enjoyable. Be warned though, this trade is a semi-sequel to Sonic Universe 2: 30 Years Later, so I recommend you try reading that first before this or you might be a little confused.

Been a fan of Sonic Universe for a while now, and the Silver Saga only adds another great story arc to the series, in which Silver the Hedgehog is re-introduced, and follows his quest to defeat an evil presence and restore Mobius to its rightful existence. If you're a fan of this series, this collection of issues is a must read!

the comic arrived 24 hours after i ordered it (give or take a few hours) and i opened it immediately and was instantly captivated by the art and characters, the story was a sort of half-sequel to "sonic universe 2: 30 years later" and personally the villain also captivated me with his interesting style.
