This is a exciting comic for sonic fans and new fans aswell. It will amaze you with sonic's power of speed and the power of his friends! It also shows the beginning of sonics's adventure of him getting his powers and dicovering his hatred for Dr. Robotnik.

Sonic as he should be, with a gut and eating chilly dogs. Not the lanky sell out he has become!

Got this for my g/f - who is an avid sonic fan. Features excellent artwork from the old comic series.

In The Beginning... 9 Feb. 2005
By Geneva - Published on
This collection of the original 0-3 Sonic the Hedgehog mini-series is a must-have for any Sonic aficionado. I've been reading Sonic since issue #7 and the last issue I've purchased is #144 if you want an idea as to how many issues I have.. I've tried filling in the blanks in my collection, but it's such a hassle to get the earlier issues. Thanks to this handy-dandy compilation I don't have to worry about missing anything in this series I hold so dear!

It may seem a little repetitive if you have the other trade paperback Archie Comics have released for early Sonic issues (Sonic Firsts,) or obviously the original issues, but any truly devoted fan will want this book-- and will appreciate the fact that Princess Sally boasts her original prototype colors!

A must own for hardcore Sonic fans. 25 Oct. 2005
By Ronnie Smith - Published on
This is a digest of the first four issues of the now classic Sonic The Hedgehog comic produced by Archie comics. It first launched back in 1993 after it was apparent that Sonic was here to stay. It's perfect for the hardcore fans out there who want to collect everything Sonic related they can. The comics included are fairly good, it is well worth the asking price. This may not appeal to everyone however, alot of the newer Sonic fans will not identify with the characters in the comics. I am now an adult and grew up with these comics and I highly reccomend this book to anyone. However, a stated above I think this only appeals to a specific group, and casual Sonic fans may not like it. Thankfully it's fairly cheap, and is worth taking a chance on in my opinion.

More Sonic stuff! 29 Sept. 2004
A Kid's Review - Published on
Let's go back... Waaaay back. To when Sonic was a wee hedgehog starting his own comic in 1993. Remember how Sally used to look? Remember when Rotor was called Boomer? Remember when Robotnik had Crabmeat and all those other baddies? Well this'll give you a serious look back into the past of the popular comic. If you want to know what happened at the beginning of the comic, because (like me) you weren't an avid fan at that time or if you just want another Sonic book, get this book. Don't expect back-breaking action, but this is still worth a couple hundred reads if you've got the time. This book is similar to Sonic Firsts, but Sonic Firsts has some things editted and cleaned up so it looks more modern. Get both and see how much Sonic has changed over the years!

Very 'kiddie' Sonic. 5 Feb. 2004
By Inspector Gadget - Published on
I'm a big fan of Sonic the Hedgehog and I love the current comic books but this is a collection of the first few issues from way back in 1993 (I actually remember getting these when I was 12 years old) and it's a bit too childish. The stories are totally neutered and the animation bright and colorful. It's nowhere near as sophisticated as Sonic is today. It's worth getting if you're a completist or as a gift for a (very) young kid but don't buy it expecting anything like Sonic's current comic-book output.

A Tribute To Sonic 26 July 2004
By Jimmy Karamanis - Published on
I've read almost every sonic comic to date, and this comic highlights all of sonic's great moments. This is great to new-commers to Sonic Comics as well as long time collectores, like myself. Some poeple won't like it if they're used to "modern" or "anime" Sonic. But beleive you me Sonic waz way better in his 2-d games at old comics. So all I can say is Buy It, if you like Sonic. And if you don't like him, buy it anyway.
