Fun:
Really, if you didn't play this game when it first came out and enjoyed it then, there's nothing here for you. This game is technically terrible. It is a poorly put together mess of a game with the single redeeming feature of brilliant music. (Youtube search What I'm Made of - Crush 40).
If you want a sonic game of this era that is actually good, check out Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, also for the gamecube. SA2:B is one of the best games that has ever been made.

Fun:
I wanted to enjoy this game so badly, it was supposed to be the follow up to sonic adventure 2 which i loved playing. But when I actually played it, I felt like every reviewer who had spoken well of the game had lied to me flat-out. I thought that the team mechanic was a broken gimmick which destroys flow. It's frustrating to have to change character every 30 seconds for an arbitrary obstacle that can only be punched by knuckles or flown over by tails. When I buy a sonic game I like to play as sonic so it sort of felt like a kick to the shins when i found out that the game barely even gave me this one thing. Having said that, there are far more issues with the way the game plays.
The characters move as is if they're on ice; they're slippy and impossible to rely on. The physics are entirely broken. I encountered at least one glitch in every single level. The story is an embarrassment. I seriously reccommend you watch the opening cutscene on youtube if you don't believe me. Which gets me onto tails' voice which makes him sound around 3 years old, literally. Playing this felt less like playing a videogame and more a struggle to find enjoyment with sonic fanfare tacked on top.
I would suggest any other sonic game (or even just any other game) over this.

My head revolved so many memories after playing this game. Gameplay is great. Graphics are not so bad for such an old game. I would recommend this to anyone.
The one thing I like in this Sonic game is it's quite difficult to get an A rank on everything.
