Format:DVD
"Sonic Christmas Blast" was produced for the cancelled "Sonic X-Treme" for the Sega Saturn but the named was changed from "Sonic's X-Treme Christmas" to Blast to promote the recently released "Sonic 3D Blast". The episode is done by the same team who done Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog so it takes place on Mobius with Dr Robotnik and the ever dumb Scratch and Grounder.
Now I know that the Adventures series wasn't the greatest thing ever produced but it had its charm even with some terrible episodes and cheap animation but I'm sorry this probably is the worst Sonic episode ever. The pathetic plot where Robotnik kipnaps Santa Claus and becomes Robotnik Claus so all the presents will be his can be excused but Robotnik has practically no apperances in the episode which is a shame becuse he adds a lot of humour with his VA (RIP Long John) and Scratch and Grounder don't have their usual funny and stupid selves attached to them so they're injuries and jokes are really boring. Sonic and Tails don't really have much of the charm that they had in the Adventures series and the whole plot ends rather quickly. Plus there's all the cameo of Princess Sally from the SatAM series but she is wrongly coloured and has no speech whatsoever so what is the point of her appearing? Really stupid and just wrong, guess the 4 year gap really messed things up.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless you're a die hard Sonic fan but even they might not enjoy as I myself am a die hard Sonic fan and wouldn't of wasted my money if I knew what the episode was going to be like.

Definitely hits all the right buttons for Sonic Lovers. My son chose this and the other Sonic dvd's.. the complete set of the series, and is VERY happy. The same review for all of the Sonic dvd's :)

This a a great dvd for sonic fans - my 6 year old loves this dvd and the price is good also.

Xmas DVD
This dvd is nearly worn out already. My 6 year old loved it and wants more of the same character as he is a huge Wii games fan.

Good Buy For Sonic Fans
I ordered this as a Christmas present for my 7 year old who is a huge Sonic fan. He really enjoyed this and it wasn't very expensive either. Good buy if your child likes Sonic.

As expected! My child loved the box set as he is a HUGE Sonic fan I enjoyed it too!!
