5.0 out of 5 stars Essential, 3 Feb 2005
I have been writing songs for a while and as most amature songwriters a familier pattern would appear of structures and chord's. This book has many brilliant structors and techniques to improve the quality of the music harmony from techniques that I was already using but didn't identify to completley new ideas that will enhance any song, I bought this book along with the recommended "Melody" book also by Rickky and together they are simple amazing though I would of liked the two to have been one!

Along with the book "6 Steps" by Jason Blume, are the only books a songwriter should ever need!
