Songs Without Words
This album is quite lovely. Juliette Pochin (debut album "Venezia") and James Morgan have created something very special. What must have been a very difficult undertaking has been produced and recorded superbly. Some superb performances by wonderful musicians.
A truly wonderful mixture of lovely music.....you do not need to be a fan of the original songs...the music stands on its own and is a real joy. A must for any collection.

Really, on the first listen to this you will be stunned. The first track is Yellow, made famous by Coldplay. I didn't really like this song in it's original form, so I wasn't expecting much, but I was so wrong. It turned out to be beautiful, and it was the same story with all the other tracks. On the first listen it gave me such an emotional lift, and I was already feeling great! I'm pretty set now on ordering another one to give away as a birthday gift - I believe there aren't many people who wouldn't enjoy this. Who knew doing orchestral versions of pop songs could transform them so positively. I only wish there was more of this sort of thing about! Actually, there probably is a lot around - I just haven't noticed, in which case I thank Classic FM for their marketing and presentation.

What a stunning album - each song is beautifully crafted and I love Sorry seems to be - what a haunting version! I'm a big Coldplay fan and the version here of Yellow reveals new depths to the song - it really works amazingly well as a lush romantic orchestral piece. I'd thoroughly recommend this album to anyone. I first heard extracts of it on the Classic FM website - and the full album really lives up to these. I love it!!!

This collection of bits and bytes represents a truly wonderful musical experience, masterful in its interpretation and beautiful in its orchestral execution. Granted this sort of thing has been done before, but varying degrees of success. However, in this edition, I really truly feel that they have hit it spot on. I have enjoyed listening to this CD many times, and it is certainly one of the best purchases I have made in recent times! Simply a delight to listen to; allow this recording to transport you into a world far removed from the Hi-Fi, computer or ipod you are playing it on.

Simply a wonderful album. I'm not a great classical music lover, but after listening to the stand out tracks 'Somewhere only we know' & 'With or without you', im converted. A top listen, and £10 very well spent.

I bought this for my parents, but when they put it on I liked it so much that I bought myself one. Now I use it to unwind in the evening with a large glass of wine and my dogs. Its really beautifully produced and very intelligently orchestrated. Can't wait for the next one!

The tracks by Coldplay and Keene are excellent....my heart and soul and eyes shed a tear of joy, brilliant music, re-created into an excellent classical arrangement...I hope they do some more!!!!
