A beautifully constructed album. Magna Carta were (and still are) one of those rare groups that are around but hardly noticed except by those who appreciate their lovely instrumentals and their harmonies. Easy to listen to.

SUPERBE 31 Mar. 2008
By T. Blanc - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Another "lost gem"!
Superbe Magna Carta studio album, Chris' songs are as good as ever and Davey, why on earth did you leave them for Reginald?
Essential to all music lovers, but maybe you should listen to Magna Carta's "Lord of the Ages" and "Seasons" first.

Mostly pleasant, melodic, gentle songs. 3 Mar. 2014

This is the original line-up and sounds like Lord of the Ages or Seasons in terms of vocals and harmonies. Most of the songs are really pleasant but short in duration. Some great acoustic guitar and even a bit of sitar thrown in on the first track for good measure.

There is one weird track that sounds like American country, but with very exaggerated accents, sort of like from an old cowboy film. It is quite fun once you get over the shock.

If you buy this expect a fair bit of British or Irish folk in style and nothing of the "progressive" style of Lord of the Ages. Nothing really wrong with that. Also, this one has no narration.

I like it.
