Following the demise of Jet in 1976, vocalist Andy Ellison, bassist/writer Martin Gordon, guitarist Ian Macleod and drummer Chris Townson rehearsed new material at Island Records HQ in St. Peter's Square, London W12. 5.0 out of 5 stars A timeless classic 30 Mar 2007
Format:Audio CD
Remember what pop songs used to sound like? This is is it - classic cuts from one of the most underrated bands of the late 70s. Perfect pop songs to jump up and down to, performed with tongues firmly in cheeks. Listen to this and you will see where the Kaiser Chiefs got it all from. You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Songs For Swinging Lovers 30 Dec 2009
Format:Audio CD
The best of the two Radio Stars studio albums. An absolute gem and a must for all fans of punk/new wave/1970s power pop. My vinyl copy from 1978 has been played endlessly, taped, put onto mp3 and now I have a a real cd of it! Excellent!

4.0 out of 5 stars power pop/punk heaven! 22 Jan 2012
By Phil K - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Existing somewhere between the power pop explosion (ala Cheap Trick) and the advent of Punk..Radio Stars crafted catchy, hooky tunes served up with crunchy guitar chords and Punky energy. Sense of humor prominently on display, these guys never seemed to take things too seriously..and never got much attention. Maybe they were ahead of their time? Bassist Martin Gordon was a member of the oddball band known as Sparks...and brings a bit of their quirkiness (and some fine Bass playing) with him. Give it a listen!
