Product Description

CD Description

Will Cookson is one of British Folk's finest young talents, his beautifully crafted songs echoing shades of folk luminaries such as Nick Drake, Elliott Smith and Jackson C Frank. Resonating with the warmth of a pastoral landscape, this is music for those who appreciate intimacy and honesty in their listening experience. 'Songs For A Sunday', the culmination of 15 years of songwriting and 29 years of living, is his first release.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy this heartwarming feast., 15 May 2008

(REAL NAME)
This album hits so many spots.

There is no intimidation, no arrogance, just friendly encouragement.

The melodies are whispery and journeyful.

The plucking is intricate and complements the voice, making a seemingly effortless duet.

There are years of experience condensed into a handful of songs.

It is full of therapy.

A musical experience that is joyous, full of sorrow, winter warmth and gentle resignation.

'Don't let the world occupy you're brain, just cause there are no more sheep'.

Thanks Will.

5.0 out of 5 stars Feelgood at its best!, 28 April 2009
I heard about Will Cookson's music through some friends over a drink so when I got hom, I bought the CD. I then totally forgot about it until I noticed the Amazon package my wife had stacked away. We opened the package and so I put the CD on and it's been playing since.

We absolutely love it - it's one of those collection of songs that makes you feel good about the world. The music, the words - everything about it is a reminder of the good things in life, which especially now many seem to have forgotten.

Great purchase. Absolute RECOMMEND and DEFINITE BUY!

I stumbled across Will Cookson's music online and bought this album on a half-whim having only heard a few songs, but did I regret this impulse purchase? Gosh no. Read more
