5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing songwriting again!!, 16 Oct 2007
This guy is criminally underplayed by the lazy radio stations. Bought the download of the 9 track album originally and its been on constant play since then. It picks up perfectly where the last album left off. Live he's way ahead of the pack, only Damien Rice has equalled his quality in my eyes. On hearing the secret track, a cover of a smiths classic, I am so pleasantly surprised at how amazing it is, he takes a perfect song, does it in his own way and makes it even more amazing!!! I am already excited to hear what he comes up with next. You will not be dissapointed, I promise!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Must Have Album, 24 Oct 2007
By AnnaBegins (Manchester) - See all my reviews
This album is fantastic, and a great follow up to 'I Sincerely Apologise For All The Trouble I've Caused'
and just as good!!
He's a fantastic Singer/Songwriter, one of the best in the UK at the moment
and is brilliant to watch live. The tracks are fab, My favourites are 'Decimate'' Go To Hell'
'Song For The Road''Nobody''I'm Alright Now' and 'St. Peter'.
It's warm and passionate and written from the heart, fantastic voice also.
I haven't stopped playing it since I got it, don't hesitate, just buy it,
you won't regret it, I Promise :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Some cheering of the miserable f*ck inside., 8 Oct 2007
By M. Croucher "Looprevil" (Sutton, Surrey) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
It's been a long time coming but I'm sure you will all think it's been worth the wait.

Whilst some of the songs have been tweaked to improve there radio image (not just the explitives but in arrangement), not a lot has been lost.

You will find some brass and strings added from the previous formula, in this case not played by David but he does still manage everything else bar the kitchen sink! The first few tracks seem to house the stock of single material for the album, the first, Go To Hell already released is followed by Decimate which is out now. Decimate is about as up tempo Ford as you can get and along with Nobody Tells Me What To Do leads the albums more energetic tracks.

For the soulful there are heart breakers like So You Fell and the fans favorite and title track Song For The Road. For the angry and frustrated you can have Requiem and St Peter. In my humble opinion though the show stopper is I'm Alright Now. This piece of music sums David Ford up and provides supurb lyrical content with excellent song construction and composition. If the old days of Top of the Tops still existed then as a single I am confident it would have made the charts and a chance for us to see his video creativity as well.
