5.0 out of 5 stars A hidden treasure 23 Nov 2012
By James
Format:Audio CD
Having attended the original performance of these works, it was a real joy to return to them in CD form and discover my initial enthusiasm for the pieces was well founded. While there are some real stand-out works, what has struck me most is the coherence of these pieces as a collection, demonstrating the thought and craft which has gone into putting this album together - a real voice of the 21st century.

Paul Carey Jones is in his element, singing with clarity and sensitivity, and as a pianist I can't fail but be drawn to the precise finger-work and deft touch of Ian Ryan. The production values of the CD are top notch too.

An imaginative release that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to both avant-garde connoisseur and contemporary music sceptic.
