....At Least the Packaging Is Nice 28 Jun 2011

When I think of re-release, special editions, deluxe editions, and Anniversary editions of a particular studio album, I instantly think more more music, whether it be outtakes, extended versions, demos, instrumentals, something that gives more insight into the artist. I'm not entirely knocking this anniversary edition but more could've been done to it than just putting the original album in nice packaging, with a second CD with a short tracklisting of songs and a DVD.
It would've been nice to expand both CDs to full length. It would've been nice to have the Remixed and Unplugged in A minor CD in this edition along with music she did when she was signed to Columbia.

Would've been nice to have all the videos, live performances in support of the album, on the DVD portion of this collection. Eh, at least the packaging is nice.

Alicia's music speaks for itself, it has stood the test of time (ageless, feel good, emotional, meaningful, classic music) & the unreleased song "Typewriter" needs to be released as a single & played on the radio "stat"!!!... I loved watching the dvd also, it gives the back-story on how SIAM was made & the struggles she had to go through to get HER music heard & I love how she gives EVERYONE who is/was involved with her career/success their much deserved credit & the packaging of the Collector's Edition is absolutely beautiful ... it is so elegant, edgy, beautiful, New York ... it is so ALICIA!!! ... you most def will get your money's worth with this 10th anniversary re-release, it has all of the original classic songs, plus remixes, live concert versions, unreleased songs & a dvd documenting SIAM ... Alicia has proven that you don't need all of the "fluff" & you don't have to be the most popular to be successful ... all you need is a voice, heart, emotions, personality & a piano ... thank you Alicia for a decade of great music & much continued success to Alicia ... I can't wait to see what she has in store for us for the next decade!!! :-)

MS.KEYS HAVE TOUCH SO MANY LIVES THESE PAST TEN YEARS AND I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN SHE DECIDED TO RE-RELEASE SIAM BECUASE IT IS MY FAVORITE. THE ABLUM HAS SO MUCH SOUL AND PASSION IN HEAR VOICE. ALL OF THE UNRELEASE SONGS ARE AMAZING AND THE DVD IS SO INSPIRING. IT TELLS YOU HOW HARD MS.KEYS HAD TO WORK TO GET HER MUSIC HEARD AND HOW SHE NEVER GAVE UP. I AM SO GLAD TO BE A HUGE FAN OF ALICIA KEYS.
