This disc reprises most of the cover songs Shepard performed during the series' first year, from the ubiquitous "Hooked on a Feeling" to a lovely reading of the 1960s nugget "Walk Away Renee". But to Shepard's credit, the smattering of originals don't suffer too much in comparison: in fact, her "Searchin' My Soul" is one of the album's strongest moments. --David Sprague

I would definitely recommend to buy it. Its one of those CD's you can listen to over and over again and never get tired of it. For all those Ally Mcbeal fans this is the CD you have been waiting for!

The music in Ally McBeal adds so much atmosphere to the programme, it can make you laugh and it can make you cry. When I play this CD, I can take Ally with me where ever I go! And I can't wait for the Second Series video either! Well done Vonda.

This CD is the best soundtrack that has been released. I listen to it all the time, in the car, on my walkman, in the evenings on my CD player and more!! Ever since I saw the Ally McBeal episode "Boy Next Door" where Billy dies I have become suddenly hooked. Included in that episode are the songs "Neighbourhood" and "You belong to me" both great songs (My personal favourtite "Neighbourhood") I have to say that this is a MUST for all you Ally McBeal fans!!

a great cd for anyone who is an Ally fan - or not
The only reason you would get this cd is if you have become familiar with Vonda Shepard who performs on the show. However, I would recommend it for a wide variety of audiences. Read more
