The sound quality is absolutely fantastic. I'm not sure how he captured it but it's brilliant, I even use it to test out new headphones and speakers.

Cornell's voice in this acoustic set is just incredible and raw. Hearing his songs stripped back to the heart at their very core shows them in a new light and you won't be disappointed. There are a couple of mistakes/slip-ups if you listen closely but I feel this adds to the 'real' ambience of the recording as opposed to being a polished and lifeless studio session.

You could listen to this on repeat and it will always make you stop and brush the hairs on your neck back down.

Excellent. The contrast between a soft acoustic set and some gritty heavy music is gripping.

If you like any of Chris Cornell's previous bands or solo work then your going to love this collection of acoustic tracks.
The tracklisting is great, a real mix of Cornell's back catalogue along with a few covers. As ever there's always a few songs you would have liked to be included on the album, for me I would have loved Times of Trouble, but Im sure everyone has a favourite!
Chris Cornell hasnt sounded this good in years, the acoustic direction really highlights how good his songs are and how good a vocalist he really is, he surely must be one of the all time greatest rock singers.
Im hoping a new album is on the way, if The Keeper and Hope & Promise Fade are signs of his current direction then I cant wait to hear more new material.

A top class acoustic album, Ive got my fingers crossed for Song Book Vol 2!

Not much you can say about this other than fantastic! Cornells voice is superb and supported only with his guitar you can hear this. Stripped back and unplugged - raw. Perfection though. Highlights some great songwriting and how simple can be best.

Some good covers aswell.

Glass of wine , low lit lights and chill out recommended!

This is everything I would want from a live CD. Well recorded and produced, great mix of tracks, slow and fast, and Chris Cornell is brilliant at talking to the audience to explain his thinking on the songs. Really enjoyable and great reworking of some of the Soundgarden and audioslave songs too.

Highly recommended

As a long time Soundgarden and Chris Cornell fan, I was looking forward to this release. Just him and a guitar playing a good selection of songs in a stripped down, acoustic style.

Great buy!

Being an Eddie Vedder fan, and looking for someone with similar tones / vocals after EV's "Into the Wild" soundtrack, I must say that this Chris Cornell album is fantastic. Its really hard to beat a soloist with such a rasping voice sitting playing a guitar and singing with such hard heart hitting lyrics. Fantastic album.

Chris Cornell at his best. Tune perfect, unlike most live albums. A good mix of all of his music stripped back to their raw acoustic sounds. Absolutely beautifull and very powerfull. Everybody NEEDS this album!
