A wonderfully diverse range of female vocal and song-writing talent.
Lots of famous names, but the real find on here is what might look like a filler track. In fact it is a killer track!! Kristyna Myles (who?) has written and performed a real gem, 'My Lord'. Get it just to discover this new talent!!

This two-disc, 40-track, UK import-only collection focuses on female vocalists, with a lean toward cocktail pop. The set kicks off with the late Eva Cassidy's tender take on Christine McVie's "Songbird," and wraps up with Nina Simone's classic "Feeling Good." Along the way are drop-ins by 38 other singers equally as impressive, including Diana Krall, Alison Moyet, Melody Gardot, Des'ree, Dusty Springfield, Joan Armatrading, Lizz Wright, Macy Gray, k.d. lang, Erykah Badu, Suzanne Vega, Madeleine Peyroux, Katie Melua -- there's not a bad track ANYWHERE. I only wish this type of release from Universal were an annual occurrence.
