Beautiful music,

This review is from: Song Makers Project Vol. 1 (Audio CD)
This is a really great compilation CD. I've had it on the CD player in the office for a while now and it has really grown on me. There's plenty to discover here, established artists I didn't know well like Eric Bibb and Ted Hawkins, and new acts from the UK acoustic scene. There's alot of variety here, but the songs all fit well together, with tracks covering folk-blues and storytelling (Jezz Hall), soulful pop (Ayo), catchy folk (Roger Askew), and tender and melodic country-tinged offerings from Brothers Falloon and Maureen Munroe. This is a great find, give me more!

Easy on the ear brilliance,

This review is from: Song Makers Project Vol. 1 (Audio CD)
This combination of great tracks are refreshingly good for the ears if your ears have been deprived of good music for a while. I can't wait for volume 2. Every track a winner from the kind of ballady genre of 'Once in my life' by Ayo to the very funky 'Good word' by Holy Man Jones - not to mention the up beat Billy Bragg track 'The Milkman of Human Kindness (even though I mentioned it) and the Melancholically feel good sound of 'Never Die' by Sam Genders and the Angelic voices of Maureen Munroe, Nicky Taylor and Emily Slade you will also find soul in the Roger Askew's 'Mahalia's Dancing Shoes'. The less known stars are just as good as the established ones I like them all. Give me more of this!!!
