Product Description

Product Description

Since he was a small boy, Mosab Hassan Yousef has had an inside view of the deadly terrorist group Hamas. The oldest son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a founding member of Hamas and its most popular leader, young Mosab assisted his father for years in his political activities while being groomed to follow in his footsteps. But everything changed when Yousef embraced instead the teachings of another famous Middle East leader. What he learned changed his life and could alter the course of his country s future forever. In Son of Hamas, Yousef reveals new information about the world s most dangerous terrorist organization and unveils the truth about his own secret role, his agonizing separation from family and homeland, his dangerous choices, and his belief that the mandate to love your enemies is the only way to peace in the Middle East --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

A thrilling story - well written and deeply touching. Very thought provoking and gives a new insight to middle eastern politics from the Palestinian angle.

A must read 3 Jan 2012
Format:Paperback
Very few books contain world changing information. If the world leaders and top journalists read this book and took it's message to heart many people's eyes could be opened. This man went on a journey that most people I know would say is impossible, that a Palestinian could love Israeli people and even help them and and change. Many Christians and well meaning individuals believe that Palestinians suffer merely because of Israel. This book shows that their own political and religious leaders are the ones are also very much to blame.

The book is fast paced, it's filled with nail-biting stories of narrow escapes from death. It reveals inside information from inside Israeli prisons, working undercover for Israeli security agencies and the running of Hamas. It reads like Daniel Silva spy novel but it's actually a biography. it's quite incredible.

The only drawback is that it is too short.

The book was easy to read and I could not put it down after starting to read. I also liked the realistic way things were described, it made the reading experience better. Only downside was that the book was too short, though I understand that not all the events could have been described in detail.
