This book has a great storyline, it is also quite sad in parts though. It gets you thinking about life as well as giving you a supernatural story. A very thought provoking book. Well worth a read!

Thought this was going to be a run of the mill horror. Has become the most unforgettable novel I have ever read. I have read probably read hundreds .Borrowed from a library initially , never forgot it. Finally found it on amazon. Keep loaning it to friends especially lorry drivers.Will appeal to men and woman ,both thought provoking and incredidbly sad,but gives us all hope in the face of death.'only the angels know'!!!!!!!Am a nurse by Profession and usally read psychology and related subjects.This book is definatly film material, I am surprised it is not, well not to my knowledge

This book opens up with the description of a very nasty motorway collision and then follows the fate of the survivors and their familes. But something has happened to the survivors and it's more that just the trauma of seeing so much death. Something, some power, is inside them and it begins to leak out in displays of both tenderness and savage ferocity. Where did this power come from and what will happen to the survivors is the main plot of the novel and it's an enjoyable read because of that, getting you to empathise and engage with the survivors and adding a few odd plot twists and an intriuging and captivating ending.
