This very quickly became the favourite book of our one year old after we bought it last Christmas (even usurping "Where's the baby?" eventually, and everyone who has that book knows it's well deserved popularity). And now he's nearly two? Its still his favourite book ! The illustrations are sumptuous and gorgeous, and full of fun. And the rhyming and rhythmic text makes it very easy to read and excellent for language development. 5 stars all round.

This is a story of a young wombat who likes to have fun. It is a fantastic story, beautifully illustrated. Full of charm and happiness and a delight to read no matter your age.

My twins, although only 8 months old, have very high expectations of their after meal story and they feel "Sometimes I like to curl up in a ball" is pretty close to perfect. An exciting story that is not too long but involves a gorgeous baby wombat doing all sorts of interesting things. The story rhymes helping with speech development and the illustration is fantastic. It is very well drawn, the detail and colours are stunning. My little people are transfixed usually at least once a day! A wonderful story which I am sure my children will still be enjoying when they can read it themselves.
