4.0 out of 5 stars A short love story 13 Nov 2011
By Mole TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
A car breaks down on the side of the road with a flat tyre. The woman is unable to fix it herself, and a passing mechanic stops to help her. She recognises the man as someone from her past, and... well you need to read the story to learn the rest.

This is a very short story, just a few pages long. It's a basic love story, but quite well written and with some very nicely structured passages.

Suitable for a short filler or something to get you started reading on your Kindle.

4.0 out of 5 stars AN OLD FLAME 2 Sep 2011
By L. Sims TOP 50 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Joanne is driving at night she gets a flat tyre, a truck pulls up she is a bit afraid it is late and dark, there is no one about. Then she looks at him, and realises she knows him, her old high school sweetheart. But he doesn't seem to recognise her. She follows him back to his garage after he does a temporary repair. Joanne is a widow now and it is near Christmas she hates being alone.
This is a really short story really short. But really sweet I wish it had been longer.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bit of a let down 28 Jan 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This had the potential to be a lovely story, but to me it felt rushed, like the author had this idea for a story and couldn't wait to get it on paper and so missed out all the detail. Having said that, if all you're looking for is something to read in an afternoon with a cuppa then this'll do the job. If you want a read that you can get your teeth into, then this might not be for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Where is the rest?
Compelling read but way too short, felt more like a synopsis to SOMETHING more. Looking forward to a longer read

1.0 out of 5 stars Short
A very short story. Not very memorable unfortunately. Very predictable ending. Almost a story which could have originated as a school exercise.
