How I found out about this band? I'm not quite sure but 2 years later I'm still listening and loving. I'm not sure why Bang Gang hasn't yet made it big in the states (I'm in Washington, DC), but a rumor has circulated that they may be stopping by our local electronic weekly called Electrotease. Bardi (the lead singer) is brilliant, and his female guest vocalists (keren ann, phoebe, and nicolette) will keep these tunes on your playlist for many years to come. Check out Lady and Bird (a Bardi and Karen Ann collaboration) as well.

Many of my friends would call me hipster - mainly for just being able to say that I KNOW this band - however, I am so proud when it gives me the ability to listen to this album. Having three of Bang Gang's albums, I can confirm that this is the best. In many ways it is quite popular, just because it contains the song "There was a whisper", but that is not wrongly so, and I can understand why. It has such a variety of songs but all so brilliant.
I thoroughly recommend this band, and this album, because it is worth the price, just for the beauty of the music!

I can't understand at the time of typing (Feb 2008) why they haven't made it big globally, but then again I may not be the best judge as I wondered that about Blue Nile, Shawn Colvin and Wild Man Fisher.
