One think you can say about the various Nancy Sinatra hits collections that are floating around is that each album has a couple of key tracks that the other ones do not (and visa versa). That means that no matter which of the albums featuring 18 or more tracks you pick up, you are going to get the core group of hits (e.g., "These Boots Are Made for Walking," "You Only Live Twice," "Some Velvet Morning") and then it is a question of what you have in terms of hits and misses. The verdict on these 22-track collection of the "Something Stupid" is that it is something of a wash. This collection gives you a all of the classic duets with Lee Hazzlewood, "Summer Wine," "Lady Bird," "Sand," "Sundown Sundown," "Elusive Dreams," "Jackson," and "Story Book Children."
The only song you are really missing from the obvious list of hits would be "Lightning's Girl" (ironically, the song that serves as the title for another one of her hits collections). The key consideration could well be what what you get here that you do not find on other hit collections, which would be the songs "It Ain't Me Babe," "Wishin' and Hopin'," "Call Me," "Shadow of Your Smile," and surprisingly "Nights in White Satin." So, all things considered this is a solid Nancy Sinatra hits collection, but then that all depends on what songs you are trying to track down, and this has a lot of them (and all those duets with Hazlewood are a big plus). On the other hand, you could just pick up all of Nancy Sinatra's albums that have been reissued on CD, which is not a bad road to go down either. Just be sure to wear some boots.
