Book Description

27 Jan 2014
Nothing in this world is permanent. Friends, lovers, even family, can all disappear in the blink of an eye. Without these anchors, it’s all too easy to find oneself drifting. Jason Grant doesn’t have much, aside from a beat-up old guitar and knack for getting kicked out of foster homes. His latest placement is set to be just another in a long line of failures. Then he meets Caesar Hubbard, a handsome guy who lives down the hall. For the first time in his life, Jason wants to stay, which means learning to be part of a family, and not letting his feelings—or his actions—ruin his first real chance of falling in love. Something Like Spring introduces a new character to the Seasons story, one with a troubled past and an equally turbulent future. Jason must traverse a winding road fraught with emotional conflicts and tough decisions… a road that might just lead to a certain couple in Austin.

5.0 out of 5 stars Triumphant conclusion 22 Feb 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
What a triumphant conclusion… and perhaps the beginning of something else. I shan't say anything more, because if you haven't yet read this novel (or the previous three "Something"s) you shouldn't be wasting time reading my review; and if you have, why aren't you starting again at the beginning. Summer's a-coming!

5.0 out of 5 stars Read it! 6 July 2014

Congratulations to Jay Bell for succeeding in tying in the fourth season. What is so pleasing is that he has managed to retain the same main characters, allowing them to mature gradually and naturally throughout the whole series without in any way allowing them to become boring to the reader. In addition, the four books are linked by the theme of emerging sexuality, the problems and heartaches it causes and the importance of learning how to handle it. Having read and enjoyed the first two books in the series, I hesitated about tackling Autumn, anticipating a sort of rehash of the first two (a sort of Rambo 3 style). I found l could not have been more wrong! When it came to number 4, I could not see how the series could be prolonged; all the characters had been rounded off. Indeed, it was not until well into the book that the clever link came to light and the familiar characters in their new, settled and mature form took their key places in the story. Highly satisfying.
To anyone contemplating diving into th series at this point, I would say: "Read the books in order and watch the characters grow. You'll get more out of it. But, whatever you do, do read it!

and learning to handle it

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read 24 Jun 2014

A real love story, another fabulous novel in the series. I really hope there is more to come. The writing really gets into the characters heads and when it concludes (which it does thoroughly , which in itself is so rare in most novels) you feel you know them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Something like sheer brilliance 8 Jun 2014

The something like spring/ seasons saga is a must read, gay or not. Love comes in all forms which the author recognises undoubtedly. The reader is mesmerised by the quality and superb story line that spans across the saga. After reading the first few pages I was unable to put the book down, the story draws in the reader to the extent where you do not want to leave the fantasy of Jay Bell's fictional world. The only downside to the story/ saga is that it leaves you wishing for the fantastical experiences which are witnessed, readers may have some common ground with the characters, however the adventure the book/ saga takes you only leaves you thirsting for more - if the author ever sees this review, please, keep writing, your books are a life line and god send! I eagerly await your next saga and hopefully many more that will follow!

Just like the others in the series, this is a brilliantly written book and a great concept. The characters and the storyline are fantastic.
