5.0 out of 5 stars A fantasy tour-de-force!, 2 July 1999

This review is from: Someplace to be Flying (Paperback)
Someplace To be Flying has to be the finest book I've read this year. Charles De Lint has shown us that fantasy novels do not have to be set in distant realms populated by fairies and elves. With realistic settings and characters which inspire both belief and sympathy, De Lint opens the door to introduce us to the animal people, the physical embodyment of native American dieties and spirits. This book is a heady mix of realism and fantasy, woven seamlessly together and I cannot recommend it enough.
