The accompanying release to The best of Georgie Fame 1967-1971 showing the up-beat side of his output during this period as opposed to the laid-back atmosphere of the former. Taking six of its songs from the rounded Seventh Son it throws in a couple of live recordings from Two Faces of Fame and Shorty each while otherwise mainly consisting of rare single and EP tracks it includes two instrumentals and a few ballads as well.

What a great album. This has over twenty great songs on it and is just perfect. It has some of my favourite tunes of his on, including my all time favourite, 'Peaceful'. It's laid back, it's funky, it's happening and it's all accompanied by his wonderful voice, soulful, dark and versatile. I love it.

I've been reluctant to fork out for a Georgie Fame cd because of those MOR recordings like the burlesque Bonney and Clyde.
This is streets away from that type of music.The 'real Mcoy'.
