For me, this is my least favourite album by the Biccies. For a band that produced the utter genius of 'Breaking News', '24 Hour Garage People' and 'Referee's Alphabet', I couldn't really get the point of 'I, Trog', 'Fear My Wraith' or even 'Song For Europe' which seems to lack any humour at all - Nigel's ranting is usually a highlight, but it doesn't seem to work on this one. Musically as well, it's a bit rough and ready, and sounds as if it waas recorded in a hurry, especially after the polished masterpiece that was 'McIntyre, Treadmore and Davitt'.
Having said that, it's not a bad album by any standards, and some of the high points are excellent, especially '£24.99 from Argos' which appears to have been played on a keyboard which was probably bought for £24.99 from Argos, and 'Even Men With Steel Hearts' is great.
A good enough addition for established fans, but definitely not a starting point for the uninitiated.
