Absolutely brilliant.
It comes with an ethernet cable in the box, just plug one end into your router and the other end into this home plug unit.Plug it directly into a mains electricity socket, not into an adapter strip, and it works.
It really is that simple. Just be aware that you will need two,or more,of these to make a network.

I already have a pair of these in operation, linking my television to my computer they are first class. This one is to link my Free Sat Box to the internet, and like the others the performance is first class.

I couldn't get a wireless interent signal from my main router in my conservatory, probably because of the foil in the insulation in the wall adjoining the house, but with one unit which joins my router to the mains and another portable unit which I plug into a mains socket in the conservatory I now get 5 bars! I had a little difficulty sorting out the security setting but a landline number to customer services put me in touch with an extremely helpful gentleman who guided me through the process. I would thoroughly recommend this product to anyone who is having difficulty picking up their wireless router signal in remote locations in their property. And being portable you can plug the second unit into any mains socket near to where you need a perfect signal.

I bought a pair of these to connect the PC in my kid's room to the network in the rest of the house. I thought maybe 85Mbps might be a bit slow, but it's just for the kid to do his (ahem) homework on after all. Maybe watch some (strictly educational) YouTube videos, and such.

The speed has in fact been great (he's usually playing Quake IV...). He switches it on and off each time he uses the PC, and it connects faultlessly each time. My wife plugs in the Hoover next to it, bashes it about and all sorts. Rock solid. I'm going to plug these in everywhere now. I'm going to give them to friends for Crimbo. I'm going to fly to Africa and start handing them out to kids at school (OK that's a bit ambitious, and possibly condescending, but frankly I'm too enthusiastic to care).

The HomePlug's are well worth the money and they have solved all of my connection problems.

The main reason for me buying these was so I could get my PS3 to have a stable wired connection, but in the spare upstairs bedroom.

Before I bought HomePlugs I was barely even able to establish a connection to the PlayStation due to the wireless signal being too weak and unreliable (and the router being too far away!)

The router has to be setup and positioned in the living room as this is the only place where we have a phone point. This is not really ideal!

After unboxing the HomePlug's, my PS3 was online within two minutes.

I simply plugged one of the HomePlug's into the wall in the living room. I then plugged one of the ethernet cables into the HomePlug, and connected the other end of the ethernet cable into my router.

I then walked upstairs, plugged the other HomePlug into the desired wall socket, and connected the other ethernet cable from that to my PlayStation.

I now have a "wired connection" without having to trail a 10 metre ethernet cable from the living room, all the way upstairs into the spare bedroom... perfect!

I would highly recommend these to anyone with similar problems! :)

Please note you will need TWO HomePlugs for the network to work!

Supposedly this is easy to configure to your broadband, but how to do it has eluded me. The user guide is not so clear and if you made a mistake in set-up you cant get back to the original default (perhaps my problem). Also, the CD which comes with the product is not compatible with Windows 7 (but the vendor doesn't tell you that) - could only use the CD on my old Windows XP machine.

Grat idea, but difficult to get it working.

I ordered five of these homeplugs to distibute a music station signal to slave stations as the WiFi did not work in my house. The plugs worked very well and also helped a computer connection. However, one has failed in service and I am currently in the process of sending it back for replacement. Other than that, an excellent product
