Living in a house with thick walls and a wife with an aversion for DIY wiring, I have had loads of powerline adapters; there are currently six of them in the house now and normally you plug them in and they work without any intervention. Unfortunately not this one! After a month of the internet being unavailable several times a day I eventually found that the two units I had bought, both had assigned themselves a static IP address that's the same as the usual router address [188.8.131.52]. I had to get out the manual and reassign the units to a free IP address that the router was not using; very fiddly but the internet is now working fine. If these adapters can't use dynamic IP addresses, I can't imagine why you would want any device, that's not a router, to give itself a static address the same as a router. I spent hours trying to sort this out, including getting a replacement router.
So they are good, but unlike other powerline adapters I couldn't use them out of the box and the procedure for setting them up was difficult and some people may also need to alter the settings on their router, if the router has no block of addresses where it doesn't assign IP addresses. Hence one star for nearly driving me mad!
