The actual questions and explanations are really, really good. Unfortunately the answers are way too small to be read easily, at least by me, a mother who bought the book to help with homework. Increasing the font size doesn't help either because the answers don't increase in size although the questions do. I'm managing, but it isn't easy unless I place my kindle under a certain light and close to my eyes.
I probably should have bought a paper copy.

Students beware!

Thought the book may be a good teaching resource as it promised fully worked answers.
However a quick 5 minute read revealed TWO huge concept errors. Not wrong working but actually mathematical incorrect use of methods leading to solutions that were utter nonsense.

In addition to errors that cast doubt on authors understanding of mathematics there was also a section on a completely pointless method of solving equations with fractions that made finding the answer more difficult.

This could have been a useful revision of past learned things that have begun to fade from memory. Unfortunately the way that much of it appears on my kindle has print so small it is difficult to read and it will not enlarge..It also has a great many stupid mistakes in the maths that will confuse anyone who could not recognise them and in places the language looks like a poor translation into english. DON'T BUY IT. Until someboby does a lot of editing and correcting.

A very useful study resource - the book is filled with so many example problems (you can see just a selection in the free sample) - it will be a great help in preparing for exams. There are examples to suit all ability levels and you can compare your thinking to the solutions provided.
Even if you already own other math study guides/books, this complements them with an abundance of extra material.
At this price, I would give it six stars if I could!

No doubt about it, it is a really useful book. The range of problems covered is comprehensive and explained clearly.

However, the is one big drawback, The equations are in a very tiny print and sometimes quite difficult to read. This seems to be a common problem with the lower priced math books in the Kindle format. Never the less, despite having to occasionally squint your eyes and move your Kindle back and forth in order to better focus on some of the print, it is still a useful book and is certainly worth buying.

Too many actual errors as well as belonging to an age where wrote learning and repetition defined the maths experience. In its favour is simply that some people might want some practice and it provides the answers so they can check their sums. In all honesty though this would have been better done on a spreadsheet so that "new" sums could always be generated - for those that want the experience of repetition to enhance their accuracy.

I am very frustrated by the lack of ability to enlarge the answers which are in a bold font which is very difficult to read, even with my reading glasses. Also lots of silly errors such as asking you to find s when no such letter exists in the formula! For someone trying to revise or learn, this book could be more of a danger than a help. Please revise text and take out all the mistakes and make the fonts able to be enlarged!

The examples are well chosen and worked and would be particularly suitable for someone revising for an examination rather than as a source for learning..
Presentation of fractions made reading a little difficult - for example two-thirds written as 2/3 illustrates the problem of presenting more complex fractions.
Overall it demonstrates the potential of ebooks in this field.
