Having only paid £21, I was a little apprehensive about the build quality, but after emptying the contents of the box on the floor, the first thing that struck me was how sturdy and well made the parts were.
I had the cloche assembled in under 10 minutes and was pleased by the fit of the component parts (they are quite tight). Everything was secure and the finished product is straight and has no wobbles.
The plastic cover seems fine and you can order new ones if they get damaged. To sum it up, it looks like it will last.
I have ordered a fleece top for extra winter protection.

For the money, excellent. Have yet to taste anything from within as winter rages on. The overwintering broad beans look happy, though. Suspect that I'll have to improvise a couple more horizontal supports as it's a bit saggy after the snows (aren't we all...) but I'd certainly recommend it.

My Dad, like so many Dads, is tricky to buy for.... Not because he's remotely awkward or fussy, far from it bless him, but simply because he pretty much has everything he needs. And if he hasn't, he buys it, usually online...!
I spotted this product last year as I was googling like mad for ideas for my Dad's 72nd birthday. He loves his allotment and anything for 'The Plot' usually goes down well.. I ordered this and was utterly amazed that such an unwieldy item arrived so quickly for so little P&P! It's currently down at the allotment being used for early salads & as a seedbed. (It's bigger than I imagined it would be, too.)
As a present for a someone who loves their veggies, this is a very thoughtful gift. I may well order a couple for us, too, for our allotment. As a nice extra, the metal hooped frame can be used with fleece or any other covering you may need.
