These are a first class example of (English!) footwear manufacturing. Trouble is, I can't get my head around the sizing. I do appreciate that lasting methods vary from one manufacturer to another, but I based a purchase of a pair of Solovair plain cap black shoes on a pair of size 8 Asian built DMs that I already owned and the Solovairs turned out to be too tight. Fair enough- different companies but then I bought these Solovair cacker boots a size larger having learned that lesson and they feel like canal barges. They'll only loosen up with wear so I don't know how they'll end up, but I suspect that thick socks will be the ordet of the day. So, wonderful footwear then, but buy from a bricks and mortar store ( or at least insult them by trying some on there first, if you can find a stockist that is) Ought to lose a star really for lack of consistency in sizing, but that would be just plain mean and the seller was excellent. Quality footwear indeed!
