I have been practicing Soliary Wicca for some time and like many people seemed to be lacking something but was not sure what. Many people reach this stage and decide to try something new in their path or to discard things and start afresh.

This book outlines these dilemas and shows you that you do not need to discard what you are doing to move forward. You will learn how to expand on what you already know and how to look at what you are doing and see them in a new light.
This is just what I needed, I can now see ways of improving on what I am doing without discarding anything. I can see ways of altering a few things that will enhance my overall experience.

This is not a 101 book, it takes you further along your chosen path without telling you what you should do. This book allows you look at what you are doing and offers ideas so you can incorporate them if you want to.
A great book for those who want to move forward no matter how long you have been a Solitary practioner.

I read lots of Wicca 101 books, especially those that seem to be aimed at the Solitary Practitioner. With many of them, I will find some points that I think the average solitary practitioner may relate to, or that someone, somewhere, will relate to. Many times, however, the material does not "click" with my own personal beliefs, or they do not take the "Traditional Path" when it comes to Wicca, but rather they are "Wiccanish". This is OK for someone else, but not necessarily for me. But I do not judge by my standards alone, but rather the viewpoint that everyone needs material that will relate to them personally.
Reading this book, however, there was more material here that I found I agreed with, related to and found to be "Traditional" with a Solitary spin than other books of this kind. And this, to me, was a big plus.
Ms. Murphy-Hiscock has taken Wicca back to the roots and explores adaptation to the Solitary way of practice. This is a Wicca 101 book, so it makes a good first handbook for the average new Solitary Practitioner and yet, it provides some material that the advanced practitioner may want to review because of its accuracy, to augment their Wiccan practice, to add elements of the Traditional or just because it is well written and has much to ponder and contemplate.
This book approaches the Solitary Wiccan Practitioner as a knowledgeable and intelligent person who knows what they want, what they want to achieve, and gives them a good working handbook to make the connection with Deity that most are looking for.
I would recommend that even if you have a working handbook you love dearly, you may want to augment it with a copy of this work. There is a lot to absorb here, there is some good clarification of what has become misunderstood or poorly interpreted, and Ms.

Great Informative book. I would have to say this is the best book I have read on this subject. Other books cover the basics, but this one covers everything you need to know. It states that it is for Intermediates, but I am a beginner and found everything I needed to know in easy to understand detail.

What a book! I'm ever so picky with my magic reads so this was a wonderful find, I also give magic books to friends and I can't settle for giving anything but The Best. I've been devoted to the craft for 15 years now and I've never come across material this good.

She explains everything you knew and more so adding all those little bits you didn't know you had missed, giving you an amazing ground to stand on and rising you up to that higher level you're after. But even though, how madly it may sound, it's a book for both the beginner and the advanced learner. She has such diversity to her!

She explains it in a very simple, thorough and non patronising way. She's very much letting you see options on how you can do things but always makes it clear that it's no true way in how to do things, but up to you to decide what you want to do in the end. She gets back to basics and also goes through all those ever so hard advanced bits. A wonderful bonus is how easy it is to read and navigate through.

It's just not an incredible magic book it's also a confidence booster, a magical first aid-book as well as a magical self-defence book, giving you all the advice you'll ever need.

Truly incredible book which gave me help on things I never thought I'd ever find in a book. It corrects the gaps you knew and didn't know you had, and helps you wherever you might've gone wrong before. It keeps your faith as solitude Wiccan when it's so easy to get stuck on something or overdo yourself. This book truly gave me back my faith and I keep using it as a reference book ever so often, leaving tons of markers all over the pages after every new read.

If you want one book to learn what wiccan is all about, or you're just to get one single book on the craft, don't miss this one. It's invaluable in the bookcase even though my bookcase contains tons of different magical books. One of the only few magic books that I'd recommend to truly Anyone.

If you are a beginner Wicca, Pagan or Witch and have reached as far as you feel you can, this is the book for you. Unlike a lot of other introductory books this one guides you throughly exactly what you need to know clearly and easily.
I found that I had reached a plateau in my spiritual studies until I read this book. Solitary Wicca for Life has helped reignite my spiritual fires and I'm pretty sure that it will do the same for you.
Perfect for beginner or intermediate alike.
