I'm massively into my nutrition and my crossfit, so when I felt like rubbish and I found it hard to get to sleep and also STAY asleep for more than two hours for quite a few weeks with my waking hours being filled with darker thoughts and depression, I also could never seem to get warm in my extremities(feet, hands and nose etc) after much research and general searching I randomly came across a book called the Peat whisperer.
The Peat whisperer is a book that tells you how to heal your thyroid, and once your thryoid is fixed so is the rest of your HTA axis(Hypothalamus, Thyroid and Andrenal gland axis), the thyroid is the controller of normal hormonal balances in all animals, so if something is wrong in the thyroid then numerous other issues start to pop-up and slowly get worse until things are corrected.
Zinc is part of what is advised to be taken and it has been one part of my saving graces. If you circuit train in a crossfit fashion then please be aware that you're using more internal resources than you may be aware of and could end up the same way I did.
If you have any of the symptoms that I mentioned above then consider stop taking a multivitamin(you may be getting too much of one mineral or vitamin and not enough of something else) and just take zinc(50mg a day) and also take Magnesium citrate(400-600mg a day), Calcium (800mg-1000mg a day), B vitamin complex(will come in the RDA in one cap), Vitamin A(2000), pregnenolone(the smaller the dose, nearest to 2-4mg a day), DHEA(nearest to 2-4mg a day), raw thyroid supplement(dosage on bottle), Vitamin C(dosage on bottle), selenium(dosage on bottle). Oh and 3-4 glasses(pint sized) of raw milk(non-pasteurized milk) a day with some salt and sugar added to it(if dregs in bottom of glass then try and get as much of the salt and sugar that remains down you). The daily guideline requirement for salt and sugar is to get 3-4 teaspoons of salt in your diet and 8 teaspoons of sugar(from fruit) spread throughout the day.(you will start feeling warm in the extremities if you were always cold beforehand from doing this.) I started doing this last week and each night since I've started doing this my sleep has improved by an hour, I'm now sleeping 7-8 hours a night all the way through and feel bright as a button, and so I wanted to make the entire world aware of how to solve this issue that can ruin your life with a few simple steps.
I hope this saves as many people as possible from going down a dark path of depression brought on by a little known side effect of intense exercise. Not enough real and specific information is out there to help with fixing this health issue. And doctors have that many patients these days coming through there doors that all they do is give you sleeping and send you on your way. Which doesn't help you in any way. I have a sweet tooth - its so bad that I wake up craving chocolate. I now have none at all - not a reduced one, none its amazing! be careful to only take when eating - I take with my breakfast and if I take without food I feel a bit of nausea.
Not much to really say here, however the company seems to produce these tablets at high quality and they seem to do the job, only knocking of a star due to price. Would recommend these if you suffer from a low immune system and during the cold winter/flu season.
Was worried about the bottle, the first time I ordered this product. However, turned up, when expected (BFPO Address) and has certainly increased my Zinc levels....will certainly be re-ordering. Thank you
