I have been taking Solgar calcium/magnesiun products (although until recently, without the zinc, which I took separately)for nearly twenty years, after being told I had osteopoenia. I am now 78 years old, and have taken some heavy tumbles on my hips over the intervening years, one as recently as a month ago. Nothing broke, although I sustained a great deal of soft-tissue damage, so although one can never know how one would have fared without taking the supplements, I definitely attribute my still-strong bones to the fact that I have been taking them, and would not dream of stopping. I don't take the full amount recommended though, usually two instead of the recommended three/day. One thing I find annoying about trying to buy Solgar products through Amazon, however, is that the product description is entirely inadequate, failing to tell you exactly what's in it, and how much. To find out, you need to go directly to the Solgar site, which is a nuisance.
