Set on a fantastic Island in the Hauraki Gulf, Auckland, New Zealand. If you are a Kiwi living abroad, this story will indeed make you homesick. So many stories interwoven together. You can smell the pohutakawas, taste the snapper and discover Auckland in the sixties. My Mother has read it five times. I have given it to a friend and don't expect to get it back. That's fine - as I have two more on order. Enjoy Aotearoa -the land of the long white cloud ....

A book which so far has received no attention from reviewers, but which is one of the most compelling reads this year. Everyone it has been passed to has enthused about it; the situation may be extraordinary, but the author leads the reader to become totally involved with the people and the way they cope with a difficult existence. This book deserves to be a winner. Captain Corelli, look to your laurels.

Self centred rightful rebellion from Auckland society. A chance inheritance takes us to a local island where modern hermits lead precarious lives.

Much fun and deep investigation of the soul and needs of humans by placing them into a microcosm.

An excellent view of the world from the edges of New Zealand, a believeable and engaging story with wonderful characters.
