Product Description

Written with the complete cooperation of the leaders of revolutionary groups like the Aryan Brotherhood and the Ku Klux Klan, Soldiers of God looks at the undergrou nd movement of American white supremacist movements. '

From the Author

Most of the information in this book is new to the public.
We authors learned as we wrote. We promised not to judge or misrepresent our interviewees, Klansman and militiamen and skinheads and ministers of the Christian Identity faith who not only supplied us with privately printed literature but loaned us their videotapes and personal photographs to print in the book. Anti-government sentiment links the members of these groups, but for surprising Scriptural reasons. We were given permission to quote from their Bible study guide, never before seen by the public, whose interpretations define the basis for British Israelism and its American counterpart Christian Identity. All information is firsthand, and all photos are printed for the first time. We hope readers don't skip the intro and conclusion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting, truthful account of White Supremacy 24 Aug 1998
By A Customer
The authors of this book need to be commended for their work. For the first time, the views of a wide array of white supremacists are presented without snide comments or constant attacks. Instead, the authors have presented the facts and let the reader conclude the validity of the arguments made by the KKK, WAR, etc. This is the only true way to combat such views is open, honest discussion and not screaming fits (a la "Geraldo", "Donahue").

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly scary 16 Jun 1998
By A Customer
The authors are to be commended for letting their subjects speak for themselves, rather than presenting the reader with an editorial on the evils of white supremacist movements and using selected quotations to back it up. That said, I find the book incredibly frightening: the members of the groups profiled have made the common mistake of confusing "We're sincere" and "We can find Biblical support for our beliefs" with "We're RIGHT." (In fact you can find Biblical justification for just about anything, but that's never stopped anyone.) They resent being lumped together with "racist groups" by the FBI et al., but they themselves lump all sorts of unrelated phenomena together and call it the Satanic plot to take over the world.
These groups may contend that they're not "racist," but according to the maxim attributed to the late Cardinal Cushing: if it walks like a duck, and swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, I say it's a duck.

This book is very informative for those that know nothing about the movement, and most people KNOW NOTHING. I encourage all White people to read this book and take to heart what it says. If you disagree with the Identity doctrine, try to disprove it. The beliefs are not only backed by Biblical truth, but as well as Historical proof. My praise to the authors for thier straight forward reporting. They said that they would not twist our words around, and they made good on the promise. Thank you Myra and Howard.

I found this book easy to read with unbiased factual information and interviews with many of the leading characters within the white supremacy movement in the united states.
I would also like to point out that there is nothing new here if you have already read alot on this subject, but nevertheless it does give a basic overview and is not disrespectfull of the leading characters.
I would not say that the book is hate filled, but does give a different perspective of the readings of the Bible. All religions are based on differing views of these teachings, which is correct you have to decide alone.
I would not say that this book is aimed solely at the "racist", but can be read by just about anyone with an open mind. You have to form your own opinions and not be lead by misinformation of the media of today. Remembering that the media is just the workhorse of a capitalist society.
