5.0 out of 5 stars excellent introduction to the novice 26 May 2010
I am a relative novice to MIG and TIG welding. This book has helped me to acquire a thorough basic understanding. It is well written and I use it frequently as a reference during my welding projects. Recommended

4.0 out of 5 stars INFORMATION ARE RELEVANT 27 Jan 2013
By R. Yap - Published on
I got this book from the local library and must said it is a must have book if you are into welding. The information are simple, factual and to the point. The trouble seems to be a very high price for such a thin book without any colour photos.

5.0 out of 5 stars Welding excellence 29 Dec 2007
By Jay Ess - Published on
As my welding instructor for two years at the National School of Blacksmithing in Hereford, UK I received instruction and tutelage directly from Derek himself. I've read the book cover to cover and can vouch for his knowledge of the subject as well as the quality written material. Highly recommended.
