4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT TYCOON GAME! 12 Aug. 2007
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I have owned this game for about 3 years and I 'still' fancy playing it!

By the looks of some previous reviews made on Amazon regarding this game, it looks as if it's a hit or miss with some people. But they seem to only be people who have been having techinical problems.

As all gamers would say about some of the biggest games around... "They could have done more". But I would even agree with that with the likes of The Sims.

I would recommend this game to anyone who loves designing and managing in their games. As it's an old game you can pick it up for less than £3 (barely a big pricetag).

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant game! 8 April 2008
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
hotel giant is a brilliant game, and its affordable,
you dont need a very powerful computer for this it works fine on windows 95/98 or higher, patches can also be downloaded from the official website to boost performane without increasing CPU useage.

here are the MINIMUM system requirments:

CPU processor : 350 MHz
Graphics : 16 Mb
Hard disc : 900 Mb
CD rom : 4 speed
Direct x : direct X 8.0a
RAM : 64 Mb
Input : mouse and keyboard
Sound : Direct X 8.0 compatible

about the game:

the game offers a lot to enjoy, you can design from suburburn to urban and resort hotels, you get a variety of buildings to choose from , a big number of locations too,

there are over 400 interior decor items and textures (wallpaper/ceiling/flooring) to keep your hotel flashing!!

you must manage your business too and make profit, you can also do a campain where you have to do tasks to sort out the hotel.

there are also AI (animated inbuilt) customers and workers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Addictive 13 July 2006
By Lulloo
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I started playing this game because I had nothing else to play at the time and now I'm hooked! Any tycoon game lover will really enjoy this game. There are loads of different hotels and cities to choose from and it's completely up to you how you run it.

You can hire and fire staff, train staff, create advertising campaigns, holiday packages, design your own hotel rooms, suites and function rooms (including restaurants, bars, health suites, indoor pools, business & conference facilities, games rooms).

If you don't have the patience to build your own hotel you can play a random game that allows you to play around with a partially built hotel - you set the prices, the quality and look after the customer needs in order to try and reach 5 star level - excellent fun.

Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
Title kind off says it all!

Bought it - installed it - crashes every time I start the tutorial. After 6 weeks of hounding tech support and forums have been told it doesn't work with Service Pack 2. They have no intention of doing a patch etc to remedy this.

Why couldn't they just put that info in the FAQ's bit!

Very annoyed and will avoid them in future.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great 2 April 2007
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I spend hours playing this game, you start off with one hotel and get to build all your rooms, deciding on size, rating and all amenities to attract all kinds of customer. You can also build restaurants, gyms, swimming pools and much more. Once your hotel is running smoothly and making enough money (which can be challenging if you get carried away building too much too fast!) you can then build a second hotel and so on in different areas and become an ultimate tycoon!

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I love this game but it goes on & on as u build more rooms. If u want 2 build ur own hotel - go to RANDOM GAME then, at the PRE BUILT HOTEL bit press the X. It lets u choose ur hotel from the begining! I HOPE THIS HELPS!
