The key to Giants' originality lies in the gameplay variety. You'll play as three distinct races through about 25 hours of total playtime: the futuristic jetpack adorned Meccs, the beautiful rogue Sea Reaper Delphi, and the game's namesake, the colossal Kabuto himself. The Meccs, Delphi, and Kabuto all offer unique gaming experience. And while the three races certainly give you a lot of variety while playing, it's the distinct gameplay variations that ultimately shine in Giants. When it comes to basic design, Giants lumbers over the myriad of other cookie-cutter games that we're so used to on the PC. While at its heart Giants is a third (or first) person action shooter, it incorporates a bit of softcore strategy (mainly base building and resource gathering), and even a series of jet ski races to really mix up the action. It's like Tribes, Wave Race 64, Red Alert 2, and Rampage all got together for a weekend of non-stop partying.

This game has everything for everyone. It gives hours of gaming heaven, the amazing graphics of tropical locations add to the great gameplay. just good old fasioned mayhem as you blow your enemies into dust with a a cool selection of weapons. Also the movies add excellent humour to the game. Believe me for a fiver its the best bargain you will ever come across.

Well where to start,even though it's a few years old graphically it's still a very pretty game. But what really makes the game stand out is the gameplay/story, it easy's you in on your own and as you progress you save your fellow aliens ,which you then can issue orders to ( such as guard,attack etc ) BUT ! that is only part of the game (with out spoiling the plot) you then play as other characters.
You can tell from the voise characterization and sound effects/music alot of time and thought has go in to this game.For its time it dared to be different and it shows even now
I've played it though over 6 or 7 times and it still makes me come back for more
