1.0 out of 5 stars Empty and uninformative, 30 July 2001

Personally I would not buy this book again, it gave me nothing new and does little to help with command useage. I would strongly recomend that you buy UNIX in a Nutshell and don't waste your money on this.

1.0 out of 5 stars Give me an author who knows what he's talking about!, 1 April 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Solaris Essential Reference (Paperback)
I'm a very experienced Solaris administrator and frustrated that this book showed no new insight, taught me nothing new, and was full of errors - usually typographically - changing the entire meaning of command options. A very disappointing purchase. What this book needs most (first of all) is some proper proof-reading.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for me., 21 Sep 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Solaris Essential Reference (Paperback)
I am a Solaris System Administrator, and have often turned the pages of this book to find that all important command and it's not there. The information is really only condensed man pages, and contains no hints on how best to use the command. If that is what you want, tthen buy another book.
