Product Description

Product Description

Everbright Dual Power Solar Fairy Lights™ are premium quality and have been designed in the UK to work year round in the UK. Simply set your lights up, plug in the solar panel and wait until dark.

Features
Dual Power
Everbright Dual Power Solar Fairy Lights™ can work for up to 10 hours a night on solar power alone and can now also be charged by USB (cable included) which gives you the option to fully charge your lights in time for a party or special outdoor occasion if the weather has let you down. It’s quick and easy to disconnect the fairy light string so you can take your solar panel module inside without taking your lights down. USB charging also means you can use Everbrights inside your home just like normal mains powered lights.

Replaceable batteries
Everbright Dual Power Solar Fairy Lights™ now use standard AA rechargeable batteries which are available in all supermarkets and can be replaced easily after a few years use.

Simplified design
The solar panel and control box used to be two separate units, but have now been combined into one. This state of the art UMB-SYS design makes the new Everbright Dual Power Solar Fairy Lights™ lighter, more waterproof and much simpler to install.

Multi-Mount system
Our new Multi-Mount system gives you the option to set up your lights quickly and easily in virtually any location that gets good access to sunlight including your lawn, decking, fence, trellis, wall or roof.

More modes
Everbright Dual Power Solar Fairy Lights™ come with 2 extra modes so there are now 8 modes to choose from instead of 6. We've also made 'constant on' the first mode as this is the most popular mode based on customer feedback.

Extension cable
Some customers like their fairy lights to start right next to the solar panel module, others prefer a few metres of cable between the solar panel module and the first fairy light. Everbright Dual Power Solar Fairy Lights™ now come supplied with a 1.85m extension cable which you can use if you need distance between your solar panel module and the first fairy light bulb. Or leave out if you want your lights to start near the solar panel without any messy wires.

How Everbright Dual Power Solar Fairy Lights™ work
Charging by solar: During the day the sun’s rays charge the 2 AA rechargeable batteries inside the solar panel module. At dark the Everbrights automatically light up in your favourite mode for up to 10 hours. At dawn the lights turn themselves off automatically ready to charge up again during the day ready for the night ahead.

Charging by USB: Simply connect the solar panel module to your computer using the supplied USB cable and press the power button. The lights will work exactly like regular mains powered lights do, so you can turn then on or off whenever you like day or night. If you don’t have a computer you can always use a USB Mains Adaptor.

Charging your Everbrights by USB can also be helpful even if you use your lights outdoors - and you don’t have to take your lights down to do it! Simply disconnect the solar panel module form your light string, take it inside and connect it to your computer or USB Mains Adaptor to fully charge in just a few hours.

The old version of Everbright solar fairy lights lasted 40 hours with a full charge . This new and supposedly improved version last 10 hours with a full charge , which is less than two nights . I've had many different sets of lights in the past and was misled by The Solar Centre's info on these new lights , so bought 2 sets . When fully charged they look great . If there isn't any sun for a couple of days they wont charge and don't come on . Over the past 3 weeks there has been some sun , but it is typical British weather . The lights have come on for 30 mins on two different nights over that 3 week period . Each time the power goes out the mode setting has to be reset . These are not cheap lights but i would defiantly pay more to get the older version . I did e-mail The Solar Centre to complain but they did not bother to reply .These lights would be fine in the summer but are absolute rubbish in winter . If you don't mind recharging the batteries every 3 days these are the lights for you .Thats more hassle than i can take.Try the Blingstring lights they are only £14 for 120 lights and last for around 20 hours , but charge up much quicker and come on every night .

At a cost of nearly two hundred pounds I bought four sets of these lights at the end of last year. Two sets never worked at all; one worked for about two weeks and showed only the faintest discernible glimmer of light; and on one string of 300 lights only one light worked! (It burned so bright you could see it was swallowing all the power from the whole string. Obviously a short-circuit.) By way of troubleshooting I did everything the instructions said. Disconnecting the lights and facing the solar unit directly south I left them like that for several days. The result--on the two working string only--was a pitiful glimmer that lasted about ten minutes. I even installed (top quality) new batteries--into, that is, those units into which I could GET new batteries--but no dice. For two of the units (and I am a strong man) no amount of strength could even get the battery covers off. I used so much strength while trying, I feared I would snap the units in half.
Complete junk x 4!

Bought these last year and didn't start off well when they wouldn't even charge from USB. Received replacement batteries which then worked. When fully charged these were really nice but didn't really charge well in the winter as advertised. Dug the lights out again for Christmas this year only to find that the rechargeable batteries are dead. Tested with normal AA to be sure this was the problem. One set now clearly has a problem though as the multi functions don't work and there is only one bulb on for the constant setting, which seems overly bright! I'd expect them to last more than 1 season for the price, given that they have been stored in the dark and not touched for a year. I think next year I will revert back to good old reliable electricity to avoid the faff. These are a good idea and might work in summer but for Christmas lights in the UK they fall a bit flat. Even if you are charging by USB every day they are unreliable. Sadly mine are out of warranty so I can't send them back.

Was given these as a Christmas present after admiring them at a relatives house, wow they are great, after owning a cheaper 'other' make that had failed after a few months, these lights are in a different league, they are bright and last all night, without losing any brightness. The quality is very noticeable as well, with multiple fixings for the solar panel, onto decking, a clip and a spike. Although they seem to be initially more expensive, you definitely get what you pay for, will be purchasing at least one or more sets.

Really pretty. I did have a problem getting them to light in the first instance so set them to charge via the USB for a few hours, still no joy -thought I'd got a duff set as some previous reviewer had. Before contacting the supplier I checked the batteries and found they had been inserted the wrong way round. Once corrected they shine beautifully --not been used much yet so unsure how well the will recharge via the sun, but then that's why I went for the USB option.

The lights vary dramaticly depending on how they are charged up.
When the batteries are charged via the usb, after four hours or less they stop flashing and become small pin-pricks and can stay like that untill they switch off. The solar power is the same (it depends on the amount of sunshine. For the best results take the batteries out and charge them up using a proper battery charger.
